THE430A Christian Theology Through the Centuries

Historical survey of Christian theology beginning with the first Christian theological writings (The New Testament) through contemporary Christian theologies. Course includes an analysis of the development and articulation of major Christian doctrines. In addition to the examination of Protestant theological traditions, the theological systems of both Eastern Orthodoxy and Roman Catholicism will be studied. Special emphasis will be placed on relating theological concepts to Christian life and experience.
